LVCF C6 Graduation

Up to this final event, participants have devoted 32 weeks to transforming their lives. They have developed essential soft skills, honed their interviewing techniques and self-presentation, established long-term goals, and collaborated with peers to build comprehensive business plans. At this celebratory event, five teams will pitch their business ideas to a panel of volunteer judges, who will vote on the most feasible concept. Each member of the winning team will receive a $300 award. Families and friends of our soon-to-be graduates will join us to cheer on their loved ones and celebrate their journey toward a brighter future.

Volunteer Role at Graduation: As a volunteer, you will play a meaningful dual role at our upcoming event. First, you’ll serve as a judge during the business pitch competition, where you’ll evaluate four to five business ideas presented by participant teams. Breakthrough will provide you with any materials needed—such as pens and paper—to ensure a seamless experience. Second, you’ll be honored as a special guest during our graduation ceremony. You’ll sit among the families and friends of our graduates, celebrating their incredible achievements. For participants whose loved ones are unable to attend, volunteers like you will also step in as supportive stand-in family members—helping ensure every graduate is celebrated and seen. Breakthrough will coordinate the day’s logistics to make your experience smooth and meaningful. Come prepared to be inspired—and to inspire others—as we recognize the remarkable progress of individuals breaking through to a better tomorrow.

The sign-up deadline for this event is September 23rd.
