Circle of Hope – Free Your Potential Series: Empowering Self-Talk with “I Can”

May 24 @ 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm

The Circle of Hope is a peer led program designed to support participants in fostering self-freeing beliefs, resilience, and self-care through peer support. The program aims to explore various growth topics each week, such as mindset, fear of failure, and imposter syndrome, to help participants develop a growth-oriented mindset.

Circle of Hope is offered in partnership with CrossPurpose/LiveDifferent Recovery and centers justice-impacted people that may have a history of addiction. Notably, this space offers specific and relevant community and support with other returning citizens that are navigating their return.

This weeks topic: Free Your Potential Series: Empowering Self-Talk with “I Can”

  • Overview: Centered around cultivating a mindset of possibility, this lesson employs the Obstacle Course Challenge as a hands-on activity. Participants navigate challenges while repeating “I Can” statements, experiencing firsthand the influence of mindset on performance. The discussion expands on the concept, exploring the quote “Those who believe they can and those who believe they can’t are both usually right.” The session concludes with individual goal setting, empowering participants to apply the “I Can” mindset to real-life objectives.
